The new corporate power purchase agreement was facilitated with the support of AFS Energy. This corporate power purchase agreement assists Allego in charging electric vehicles with green electricity from a to be built solar-energy project of Klimaatfonds Nederland.

Allego and Klimaatfonds Nederland secured a long-term power purchase agreement for renewable electricity from a new solar-energy project, Zonnepark Aadijk II. This project will generate approx. 43,000 Megawatt hours of electricity per year, which equals charging around 2,000 electrical vehicles per day! The solar-energy project is set to be built in the upcoming months and will be connected to the public electricity grid late 2023.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (C-PPAs) are contracts between an electricity producer and an off-taker who is purchasing the electricity generated by the electricity producer at a predetermined price and tenor. These agreements help to attract financing for renewable energy projects like solar-energy project Zonnepark Aadijk II. C-PPAs offer many benefits to the parties involved, such as a long-term secured revenues for the producer and stable electricity costs for the off-taker.

The C-PPA between Allego and Klimaatfonds Nederland was established with the support of AFS Energy. We facilitated the process as a mediator having an advising role. By leveraging our experience in contractual and procurement support, we assisted both parties in setting up the long-term energy contract.
